Zion Williamson Is On A Mission

Clearly, Williamson has taken things to a completely different level.

Nobody has ever had any question about former Duke star Zion Williamson’s talent: it’s extraordinary. No one would argue.

The questions have been more about his commitment. At times he’s been in less than ideal condition. At other times, he’s seemed detached, not fully integrated into the Pelicans.

That all seems to have changed.

Over the summer, Williamson’s photos went viral, and for a reason: he looked like he was in unbelievable condition.

Turns out he is. He’s been busting his butt, he’s completely zoned in on his team and what they want from him, and now, he’s focused on achieving greatness.

Here’s part of what he told The Athletic’s William Guillory: “When rumors are floating around and all that, after a while, it does take its toll a little bit. It was time for me to figure out a different way...I’m out for straight vengeance. Not against any particular person. Just for myself.”

If things go well, this season, for both Williamson and the Pelicans, is going to be something to remember.
