Class of 2025 top-70 prospect Kayden “Bugg” Edwards has committed to TCU, he announced live to On3.

Edwards — the 6-foot-2, 165-pound guard from Duncanville (TX) and the YGC Pro16 17u Puma AAU program — chose TCU over his other finalist Colorado. He will be staying close to home.

“I just really chose TCU because I’m a big family guy,” Edwards said during the announcement. “I just wasn’t ready to leave my family. They are a big reason why I play the sport. And coach [Jamie] Dixon is just a really good coach, the whole staff there. I’m just really excited.”

The guard becomes Dixon and TCU’s first commit in the 2025 class. TCU is now one of just five Big 12 schools with a commit so far in this cycle. Edwards is known for his ability to put the ball in the basket.

“Bugg is incredibly fast and a knockdown shooter,” Jirehn Mitchell, Edwards teammate at Duncanville, told ZAGSBLOG. “He’s also hilarious and a lot of fun to be around. I’m excited to see him start this new chapter in his journey.”
