The Lakers have reportedly continued filling out their preseason roster by signing guard Jordan Goodwin to a training camp deal.

The Lakers haver reportedly added another player to the training camp roster this summer. After a successful stint with the Grizzlies in the second half of the 2023-24 season, Jordan Goodwin has reportedly signed a deal with the Lakers to join them this preseason, according to Chris Haynes.

Haynes is entering his fourth year in the league and has played 121 career games. Last season, he split time with the Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies, playing 57 games in total.

With Memphis, Goodwin had arguably the best stretch of his young career, averaging 10 points and eight rebounds per game across 17 games. In that span, he averaged 29.2 minutes per contest. However, it wasn’t a particularly efficient stretch as he shot 34.9% from the field and 31.1% from the 3-point line.

Goodwin has not been a good 3-point shooter in his career, shooting just 30.8% in the NBA from range. He also is the rare guard who averages more rebounds (3.8) than assists (2.7).

Along with Goodwin, the Lakers have also signed Kylor Kelly and Quincy Olivari to Exhibit-10 deals to be part of the training camp roster as well.

The Lakers’ roster is already effectively set, so this is little more than being a body during training camp. With 15 guaranteed contracts, a drastic change — either in the form of a trade or waiving a player — would have to happen for the Lakers to sign anyone coming out of training camp.
