The event will be held at the MGM Music Hall in Boston on Friday.Boston University history professor Arianne J. King Charles reportedly regretted his decision to make his two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, joined him and the other senior royals in walking behind his ex-wife's coffin during her funeral procession. The new British monarch was remorseful when he realized how much it affected his children."I think it haunts him because it haunts them, and they’ve spoken about it," Andersen explained. "I’ve written that I believe it’s a form of PTSD."
Prince Harry previously said that the thought was "triggering" on his part. Even his uncle Charles Spencer wasn't proud of the decision to make them walk with them during Princess Diana's funeral, according to Andersen.
"[He said] it reminds him of that day when he had to walk behind the coffin, and they were more or less bullied into doing it by the palace — by the men in gray who really run the palace, the people that Diana used to complain about," Andersen continued. "[Charles, Earl Spencer], Diana’s brother … has also said that he felt that he was tricked into doing it and regrets it. He said it was like walking through a tunnel of grief."
Andersen's book The King: The Life of Charles III is out today.

Anderson pointed out that the 95-year-old monarch has health issues while Prince Charles plans to streamline the monarchy. Also, the royal family just lost Prince Charles, and they were expecting everyone to be united, but there seems to be a division.
"The Queen, with Philip gone, and the pandemic raging on and her reign coming to a close, inevitably, she needed all hands on deck and everyone in their places on that balcony and instead, you've got chaos," he continued.
"And so I can see more chaos on the horizon and more hurt feelings," he added.
