Center of the future?!

With the Warriors exiting last season in the play-in tournament and losing Klay Thompson along the way, it’s clear we’re entering a new phase that’s not quite “Splash Bros” but something different altogether (*bursts into tears immediately*).

Dub Nation is left to hope that the team can once again compete for championships in an evolving NBA landscape that seems determined to leave the Golden Empire behind. IS THIS WHAT THE PROGRESSION OF TIME FEELS LIKE?!

To hold on to that belief, I’ve taken a closer look at the best performances from every non-Curry Warrior last season—because “We Believe” is still what we do, right?

Trayce Jackson-Davis shows the full skillset against Portland

The rookie Trayce Jackson-Davis, son of Indiana Pacers legend Dale Davis, showed some amazing flashes in his first season as a Dub. His bouncy athleticism and smart combo of footwork and spacing made him a nifty scorer around the rim and a rim protector on the other end. His growing IQ was also on display with his ability to use his passing to find scorers.

This intriguing combo of skillset and physicality added up to a strong game against the Portland Trail Blazers where he tallied up 10 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 blocks in 27 minutes as a starter.
