Three-star forward Andreo Ash planning visits to Elon, Marist, North Carolina A&T and Siena

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. — Class of 2025 three-star small forward Andreo Ash will take official visits to Elon, Marist, North Carolina A&T and Siena this fall, he told ZAGSBLOG. He just doesn’t have exact dates yet.
Ash — the 6-foot-8, 225-pound Canterbury (CT) product and forward for the Nike EYBL City Rocks program — broke down each of these schools to ZAGSBLOG at Peach Jam.
Elon: “They came to see some of our open gyms in the fall at school and I’ve just been talking to their coaches. They are nice people.”
Marist: “They were the first school to offer me. I’ve know some of their coaches for a while too, so I have a great relationship with them. We’ll see when I visit them.”
North Carolina A&T: “North Carolina A&T is texting me a lot. I like their coach. We’ve talked some.”
Siena: “I know some of the coaches. I’ve known them for a couple years and have a great relationship with them. So looking forward to visiting them.”
Ash hasn’t taken any visits so far in the process, whether that be officials or unofficials. He looks forward to beginning those.
“Just being around the campus and seeing how they’re all different from one another,” Ash said. “Just getting close to the coaches and seeing the team practice, stuff like that.”
At Peach Jam, Ash averaged 5.6 points and 3.6 rebounds while playing 24.4 minutes per contest. He also shot 45.5% from the field and 42.9% 3-point range.
“I think I’m a defensive player first,” Ash said. “That’s what I focus myself on. And then I’m a three level scorer on offense, but I score around the basket mostly. I think my defense and my IQ [makes me unique]. I think I see the game differently than a lot of players, and I think I play different than a lot of players.”
Tahlan Pettway, one of Ash’s teammates on City Rocks this summer, said Ash has an “old school” game.
“He’s really fundamental and is a tough competitor,” Pettway said. “He’s good to hang around off the court and quite funny as well.”
Ash played at Liverpool (NY) last high school basketball season and was the All-Central New York boys basketball player of the year.
Ash isn’t the only hooper in the family. His sister, Tyler Ash, played basketball at Syracuse and ended her career in 2011-12. Their father played basketball in high school, but not at the next level.
Ash is ranked the No. 11 player in the state of New York by ESPN, giving him three-star status. A fun fact about Ash is he likes boxing.
“I get in the ring a little bit,” Ash said.
