Duke Recruiting: Nikolas Khamenia Cuts His List
A promising talent with a solid all-around game
Duke target Nikolas Khamenia cut his list down to Five Friday and it’s Duke, UNC, Arizona, UCLA and Gonzaga.
A 6-8 forward who is athletic and skilled, Khamenia is moving from a 4-star rating to 5-star as you’ll see in the videos below. His parents are from Belarus and his father is a basketball coach, which fits a Duke profile.
We don’t have a sense of how he’s leaning, but On3.com pegs the odds at 34% for Arizona, Gonzaga at 24%, UNC at 24% and Duke at 17%, according to Spokesman.com (the On3 page is paywalled and Spokesman doesn't list odds for UCLA, but doing the math leaves just 1%).
Suffice it to say that there is a long way to go in this one.
