Team USA Wins the Gold in Men's Basketball, Beats France for 5th Consecutive Gold Medal

Team USA is taking home another Gold Medal after the men’s basketball team came out on top in the final game against France on Saturday (August 10) in Paris, France!

The team, which featured star players such as Lebron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, ended the game with a final score of 98-87, cinching the top honors in the competition.

ESPN noted that the men’s basketball team has won Gold at the last five Olympics.

The United States of America has won Gold Medals in 38 events so far this year and has a total of 122 Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals combined. That makes them the most-awarded country at the games. However, China is in the lead on Gold Medals with 39 wins.
