Paul George Comments On Rookie Teammate Jared McCain

Sounds like he’s a believer

Former Blue Devil Jared McCain is now a member of the Philadelphia 76ers and according to some, he had a bit of a rough start in summer league play.

Duke fans have a pretty good idea of what to expect from the young guard and that he’ll probably be fine, but he’s a new presence in Philly and they’ll take some time to understand him.

Well that’s true for the fans anyway. For new Sixer Paul George it’s been a bit quicker.

On his podcast called Podcast P with Paul George, here’s what the longtime NBA vet had to say about his rookie teammate:

“His personality stands out more than anything. He’s got a personality like, ‘I’m me, I’m gonna do me.’ The fact that he don’t give a f—k that he paints his nails and what people say about that, and he could still be himself and go hoop... you can call him anything at that point.”

He goes on to compliment McCain’s toughness. If he was a disappointment to some in summer league, George sounds confident that McCain is going to be terrific.
