British journalist and royal author Christopher Andersen weighed in on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's attendance at King Charles' coronation. He suggested that they might "opt out."He told Express this about the royal couple possibly skipping the big royal event.
"It's increasingly beginning to look as if Harry and Meghan might well opt out of the Coronation. There are genuine security concerns, to be sure, and then there is the prospect of the Sussexes being roundly booed."
The royal expert continued:
"Harry and Megan are still licking their wounds over having been sidelined during the Queen's funeral. It's highly doubtful that they would be willing to face the prospect of that sort of public humiliation again, particularly on Archie's birthday."

King Charles Has No Simple Solution About The Sussexes' Attendance At His Coronation
Royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti, who appears on BBC, Sky News and Fox News, spoke about King Charles' dilemma regarding the Sussexes' attendance at his big day. According to him, His Majesty is in a real "real dilemma."Regarding the Coronation, I think it's a real dilemma," Sacerdoti told Express. "It might seem very aggressive not to invite Megan and Harry though most people would understand exactly why that decision would have been made."
He added that he could make a creative solution not to invite non-working royals so as to not extend an invite to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who stepped back from their royal duties in 2020. However, it will reflect a wider decision and affect many.
"That's what happened during the Jubilee celebrations on the balcony when other non-working royals weren't included so the focus wasn't just on any individual who had been left out," Sacerdoti explained.
Regardless of the king's decision, Sacerdoti believed that he would still be criticized by some fans.
"Part of the problem is that the Royal Family is damned if they do and damned if they don't," he added.
"Their constant consideration regarding Meghan and Harry now must be at every stage to balance any possible damage resulting from both sides of any decision they take. King Charles Reportedly Doesn't Want To Appear 'Petty And Punitive'
King Charles doesn't want to be seen as someone who takes vengeance. So, he reportedly has no plans to strip Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of their royal titles because he didn't want to appear "petty and punitive."
"Stripping their title is not something the king would likely ever consider ... mostly because it would be too petty and punitive," an anonymous source told Page Six. "It would only lead to the Sussexes claiming that it was a retaliatory action and proof they were never wanted in the royal family."
Thus, it's possible that the king will still invite the Duke and Duchess to his coronation on May 6, 2023, which falls on the same day as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son Archie's 4th birthday.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have an upcoming docuseries on Netflix. The second promo seems to aim at the monarchy.
Royal commentator Michael Cole weighed in on the future of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and in his opinion, they could lose their royal titles.Three months into the new reign, we can hardly say it's been trouble-free, "Cole said on GB News, Express reported. "They've had to endure ten parts from Netflix, series five of The Crown and now we're going to get a six-part bombardment from grievance incorporated, the Sussex branch that is in California, a sniping from their hilltop fortress, inside this gated community."
He added that it is still unclear what the Sussexes will say in their documentary. However, he believed that there would be bombshell revelations because the streaming giant had invested in the royal couple.
"But Netflix have [sic] invested millions in brand Sussex, Meghan and Harry, and there'll be wanting to have a return on that huge investment," the expert continued.
Aside from the docuseries, Prince Harry's memoir Spare will be out next month. There are speculations that he would share personal stuff in his book that may only worsen his already strained relationship with his family.
Due to this, Cole was convinced that the new monarch could strip the Sussexes' royal titles.
"I think it's entirely possible that the King will say enough is enough and remove the titles HRH from them, which he's perfectly entitled to do," he continued. "Now, this may seem also trivial but that is big medicine in royal circles where things like this matter very deeply and it would be a sign of disapproval. Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Already Warned About Tarnishing Monarchy Under King Charles' Reign?
Prince Harry and Markle have done several interviews after they stepped down from their royal duties in 2020.
