It’s been an amazing summer for the young phemon and it’s still just July

Cooper Flagg has been having an amazing summer. Just 17, he’s gone toe-to-toe with the elite players on the US Olympic team and held his own.

Now he’s getting started at Duke and getting used to the routine of a D-1 college player.

When he was on his visit, he was so deadpan that we wondered if he had had a bad visit. It must have turned out okay since he committed. Sportskeeda asked him what he was most looking forward to about Duke and he said that it was the gym: “I think just playing at Cameron. That’s an atmosphere that’s hard to find. I’ve heard so much about it, and I’m really excited. I can’t wait to get on the court and play in front of that type of crowd.”

In another bit of news, Cooper’s twin brother Ace has transferred to Greensboro Day, which presumably means that he’ll be in Cameron a fair amount this season.

Finally, here’s a great bit of video with Jayson Tatum and Carmelo Anthony discussing Flagg and coming to the conclusion that he’s going to be “up here” in a few months.
