The US has a lot of talent in Paris, but LeBron James is clearly taking over

After the shocking scare the US experienced against South Sudan, the Germans surely thought things were different and they had to have a shot against the US too.

And it was a close game, with the US winning just 92-88. But the Yanks led most if not all the way and, to borrow from Loki in the Marvel movies, Yes...but we have a Hulk.

The American Hulk in this case is LeBron James, and while it’s true that time is beginning to catch up to King James, it hasn’t caught up yet and James can impose himself on the game like no other.

He did that against the Germans, finishing with 20 points, six rebounds and four assists, and, as he did against South Sudan, laying down the law. He’s pushing 40 but there’s no doubt: it’s still his game.

He’s still able to take control of a game and make it clear that no one else is going to win. That’s a huge asset in Paris and while Victor Wembanyama may one day be able to impose himself like that for France, right now, James still reigns supreme.
