Team USA Getting Ready For Paris
This is one of the more interesting teams in awhile
Team USA is gathering in Las Vegas and some of the people there are no doubt still irritated that Team USA came in fourth place in last year’s World Cup, where it lost to Lithuania, Germany and Canada.
They’re taking some big guns this year - LeBron James returns, along with Anthony Davis. Steph Curry is playing. Joel Embiid is competing for the US too as is Jayson Tatum, fresh off his NBA triumph.
It’s not going to be easy - coach Steve Kerr is reminding his team that it’s not 1992. The US will see players like Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo along with NBA stars from around the world.
This is all a product of 1992 of course. The world’s interest in the game picked up radically after the Dream Team dazzled everyone.
The US opens against Serbia in about three weeks, so buckle up. It’s going to be a bumpy ride.
