Seeding complete following Week 3 of Women’s Hoopsfix Pro-Am

It will be Diamond taking on Ruby and Emerald facing off against Sapphire in the Hoopsfix Pro-Am semi-finals next week after the final week of the regular season on Sunday at Brixton Rec.

Diamond (3-0) dispatched of Sapphire (1-2) 60-39 to finish the regular season perfect and take the number one seed, while Emerald (2-1) took down Ruby (0-3) 62-46 to lock up the second seed.

The opening game of the day saw Emerald ride another strong performance from Chinwe Iwunze, as she went 5/6 from the field for 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Emerald – boosted by the debut of Kyla Nelson who had six points, six rebounds and four assists – took the lead a little over three and a half minutes into the game and never looked back.

Jess Davies had 11 points and nine rebounds, while Deborah Somoye had 10, while Kenisha Whyte had 11 points to lead Ruby.

In the second game, a loaded Diamond squad made light work of Sapphire, with 14 from Monique Esbrand, 13 from Georgia Gayle, and 10 from Hoopsfix All-Star Classic alumnus Megan Verbeeten.

Shanice Beckford-Norton registered 18 points for Sapphire in the loss, in her final showing in the Pro-Am before departing to GB camp, while Dasia McByrd had 13.
