If I’m the Lakers, I’m watching Orlando very closely tomorrow.
If they sign Hartenstein tomorrow, they suddenly have a center surplus while still needing a guard. They’ve been linked to DLo. I wonder if there’s a Wendell Carter trade available if the Lakers include picks. – 1:59 PM

More on this storyline

A couple months ago after a team practice, Magic guard Admiral Schofield approached Carter about a real estate play which would allow him to earn a piece of the revenue generation of a new medical-related facility in Portland. It’s an opportunity for Carter to join other NBA players who are considering the proposal. He’s planning on working alongside Schofield as both a teammate and business partner. This also goes for another fellow teammate in Magic guard Gary Harris, who is having ongoing conversations with Carter about investing in a marijuana dispensary chain based in Arizona. “That’s the name of the game right now,” Carter said. “Guys are more hands-on now. You hear the horror stories of back in the day of [players] giving all their financial decisions and access to someone else, which [led] to stories of people stealing money and things like that. That’s a part of it. Guys are not only more hands on but want to find more ways to make money.” -via Sportico / June 13, 2024
Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. will undergo surgery to stabilize the third metacarpal in his left non-shooting hand, the Sentinel learned Saturday. Carter originally suffered a fractured left hand Nov. 2 at Utah and underwent subsequent surgery that required him to miss 20 games (Nov. 4-Dec. 17). -via Orlando Sentinel / May 11, 2024
He is expected to make a full recovery and will be re-evaluated in approximately four weeks following the procedure, the Sentinel learned. The preventive procedure will involve placing a plate at the fracture site. -via Orlando Sentinel / May 11, 2024
