That Filipowski Story

We honestly have no idea what to make of this story, but here it is, in case you haven’t seen it. And as you’ll see below, people are talking about it.
As best we understand, Kyle Filipowski’s family feels that his fianceé, Caitlin Hutchison, has “brainwashed” him into Mormonism. Supposedly his relationship with the older Hutchison also cost him in the draft as he slid into the second round, going to the Utah Jazz with pick #32.
It may be plausible and any or all of it might be true. Or it might not be. We honestly don’t know, so we’re just parking the information here for your consideration.
The final thought though is the same thing we say about recruits when we remind you guys not to bother them if they don’t choose Duke: it’s his life, their life together, he’s an adult and he’s entitled to make his own decisions. Whatever the truth is here, we hope he’s happy and we hope issues with his family, if there are any, are resolved soon.
