Matchups set for new-look Big 12 basketball schedule
TOPEKA (KSNT) - The expansion of the Big 12, by adding Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State and Utah, for the 2024-25 athletic seasons means each team will play more conference games. It also means not all league members will play each other twice.
On Thursday, the Big 12 and its members announced the matchups for the upcoming men's and women's basketball season. Every school will still play each conference opponent at least once. The men's teams will play a 20-game league schedule while the women will play 18.
KU men's basketball:
- Playing home and away: Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas State, Houston, UCF
- Away only: BYU, Utah, TCU, Baylor, Cincinnati
- Home only: Arizona, Arizona State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, West Virginia
K-State men's basketball:
- Playing home and away: Arizona State, Cincinnati, Iowa State, KU, Oklahoma State
- Away only: Baylor, BYU, UCF, TCU, Utah
- Home only: Arizona, Houston, Colorado, Texas Tech, West Virginia
K-State women's basketball:
- Playing home and away: KU, Iowa State, Cincinnati
- Away only: Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech, UCF
- Home only: BYU, Colorado, Houston, Oklahoma State, Utah, West Virginia
KU women's basketball:
- Playing home and away: Iowa State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State
- Away only: BYU, Utah, Colorado, Houston, Cincinnati, West Virginia
- Home only: Arizona, Arizona State, Texas Tech, TCU, Baylor, UCF
