The Rockets position themselves to be aggressive in future trade scenarios with the Suns should that franchise need to disassemble. For now, the Suns plan to keep trying to win with Durant and Devin Booker, but the Rockets acquiring those Suns picks give them an inside track on a possible deal should a Suns star — particularly Booker, who’s 27 years old and on the Rockets’ timeline — become available. The Suns superstar replied to a fan, who stated, “KD so sorry. look at what his reputation is now lol,” less than an hour after the speculation surfaced. Durant replied, “Well check ball then.” The post went viral in a matter of minutes, amassing more than one million views. Fans clowned the original post in the comments, praising the forward for not being afraid to speak his mind.
