Now he’ll be a Baylor Bear

Former Duke guard Jeremy Roach has withdrawn from the NBA Draft process and will now formally finish his final year at Baylor under Scott Drew.

He’ll be joined by former Miami big man Norchad Omier who has also both transferred to Baylor and withdrawn from the draft.

That’s quite a pair of additions for Baylor. Omier is a surprisingly productive big man given his relative lack of height (he’s just 6-7 but powerfully built at 250) and of course Duke fans are keenly familiar with Roach’s game.

One hopes Duke won’t have to play Baylor next year, but both teams are going to be Final Four-level squads in 2025 so it’s always possible.
