Jaylen Brown: 'We’re not here to play around'

0 11
“I think that’s what we need,” Brown said, “I think we just need everybody to be on the same page and everybody to come out with the right effort. That’s 85 percent of the battle right there. We come out, we play hard and then we’re on the same page and the rest will take care of itself. We got enough talent in the locker room to beat teams. But if we’re not on the same page and we’re not playing hard, those are when we get ourselves in trouble. “So making sure, before the game, at film and shootaround, talking to everybody, touching everybody, letting everybody know that, ‘Hey, we’re not here to play around.’ We didn’t come to Cleveland for the weather, so let’s go.”

Jaylen Brown has 28 on 13-for-17 shooting and Jayson Tatum has 33-13-6 to lead the Celtics to a 2-1 lead in this series.
Donovan Mitchell was spectacular, scoring 33 points & hitting 7 triples, but didn’t get much help.

#Cavs drop Game 3 at home and trail Boston 2-1 in the series. Cavs didn’t have enough juice offensively tonight. Donovan Mitchell had 33, Evan Mobley had 17 and Darius Garland and Caris LeVert had 15. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined for 61 points for Boston. – 10:50 PM

Jaylen Brown declared Boston’s defensive performance to be “unacceptable” after the team’s Game 2 loss.
He’s backed that up by going 12-for-16 with 26 points and 9 rebounds tonight, obviously playing a huge part in Boston’s 11-point lead with 3:33 remaining. – 10:44 PM

After 3: Celtics 84, Cavaliers 69
Boston opens the third with a 14-0 run, only for Cleveland to respond with a 15-4 run to keep the game competitive.
Jayson Tatum (27) & Jaylen Brown (20) lead Boston, while Donovan Mitchell, who has been tremendous, has 30 for Cleveland. – 10:25 PM

Big Jaylen Brown 3 to push it back to a 15-point Celtics lead heading into the 4th. Reminds me of Pritchard’s 3 from Game 1 to end the 3rd, though Brown’s wasn’t a buzzer-beater. 84-69 Celtics lead with a quarter still left, so still some work left to do. – 10:22 PM
