As of now, it looks like he’ll end up at UConn.

Earlier we listed some portal candidates that Duke was interested in and that Koby Brea was due for a visit. Looks like that is off, according to Steve Wiseman of the News & Observer, who tweeted this earlier:

“Can report that Dayton transfer guard Koby Brea is not visiting Duke next week. It had been discussed and planned but is now off. The Blue Devils do need another veteran guard but it doesn’t look like it will be Brea, whose strength is more as a shooter than a ballhandler.”

Since Brea reportedly was down to Duke and UConn, and was visiting UConn first, this suggests that he has made his decision. Also, as we mentioned earlier, BYU point guard Dallin Hall has decided to stay at BYU. He had been playing for Mark Pope, but Pope is now the Kentucky coach, so he had some things to think through obviously.

We’re sure there are others we know less about, but currently, Duke is known to be in contact with Aidan Mahaney of Saint Mary’s and Miami’s Wooga Poplar.

Stay tuned.
