Chris Paul says he's not retiring

What’s the buzz on Twitter?

Anthony Slater @anthonyVslater
Chris Paul: “I’m grateful that I got a chance to be here with these guys. Me and Steph were already connected. Me and Dray definitely got a real connection now. And somebody I’m grateful that I really got a chance to know is Klay.”

Chris Paul is not retiring: “This isn’t it. I know it for sure.”

Steve Kerr “really hopes” Chris Paul is on the Warriors next season – 1:02 AM

“Our non-Steph minutes were the best they’ve ever been because of his [Chris Paul] leadership…the way he handled this year was special. He’s such a professional…I really hope we bring him back next year.” – 1:01 AM

So Chris Paul joins the Warriors and for the first time ever a healthy Draymond Green, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson do not make it to the playoffs. It’s almost like this was his plan all along…………… 🤣 #dubnation12:52 AM

Just 11 minutes for Chris Paul thus far? – 11:57 PM
Nate Duncan @NateDuncanNBA
It’s quite a revelation watching Kuminga try to create a shot at the end of the clock instead of CP or Podz. Warriors should look for him more in that situation. – 11:04 PM

3rd foul hurts Looney especially when one of them was 94 feet from the bucket.
Meanwhile, Loon, CP3, and Moody are the only ones who have scored for the Warriors in the 2nd quarter. – 10:57 PM

More on this storyline

“I got so many (former teammates) in my career that, like, I have no relationship with,” Paul said. “Don’t really care to or anything like that. Or people who don’t like me or whatever. That don’t keep me up at night. But I’m grateful that I got a chance to be here with these guys. Me and Steph were already connected. Me and Dray definitely, you know, got a real connection now. And somebody I’m grateful that I really got a chance to know is Klay.” -via The Athletic / April 17, 2024
So Paul’s future with the Warriors is as uncertain (and perhaps more unlikely) than any other player who left the locker room late Tuesday night. “I haven’t thought about it,” Paul said. “I’m too in it. I was in the gym at 8 a.m. this morning, lifting and getting ready for this game. When it’s time for that, Mike (Dunleavy) and Steve (Kerr), we’ll have a conversation and see what it looks like. But I loved it. It’s honestly — this is my fifth year living without my family — I probably saw them more than any other year.” -via The Athletic / April 17, 2024
