Donovan Mitchell on dealing with injuries: 'You go from MVP talks to then you're hurt and people forget about you'
That’s when he finally gave in and shut it down, receiving a platelet-rich-plasma injection. He missed seven consecutive games and 13 of the next 15. “There’s always going to be trials and tribulations,” Mitchell said. “… Look at this year, you go from MVP talks to then you’re hurt, and people forget about you. That’s just the nature of this. I’m not mad at that. People can say what they want to say. When you’re out and hurt, you’re not there. It’s just what happens. “You’ve got to continue to put your stamp on the game every chance you get. I feel like I’m one of the best players to play this game, so it’s about just continuing to go out there on a daily basis, working, showing it and proving it.”
