BREAKING: Oklahoma State Hiring Steve Lutz as Next Basketball Coach

STILLWATER, Okla. (KFOR) - Oklahoma State his hired Western Kentucky's Steve Lutz as their next head basketball coach.

Lutz joins with a wealth of experience. He spent 26 years as an assistant coach spending time at Stephen F. Austin, Creighton and Purdue. He's been a head coach for just three seasons, but has taken every team he's coached in that span to the NCAA Tournament.

Lutz led Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to three conference championships in his two years at the helm. Two Southland Conference Tournament titles and one regular season crown.

Following that, he spent one season with Western Kentucky. He led the Hilltoppers to the Conference USA tournament title going 22-12.

Lutz hasn't won less than 22 games in any season as a head coach compiling a career record of 69-35.
