Altman arrested for impaired driving

Altman was arrest Friday night in Cleveland.

Cleveland Cavaliers president Koby Altman was arrest on Friday night in Cleveland and charged with impaired driving.

Fox 8 Cleveland’s I-Team broke the story. Altwas was stopped before 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15 on Route 2, bear 55th Street, by Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Per Fox 8’s High Patrol said “troopers initiated a traffic stop and during their interaction with the driver indicators of impairment were observed. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for OVI and soon after offered a breath test which he refused.“ He was then charged with committing a marked lanes violation and OVI.

According to Ohio Impaired Driving Laws, a first offense for a simple OVI can result in three days in jail or, in most cases, an enrollment in the state’s Driver Intervention Program. It also carries a fine ranging from $375-$1,075.

Altman, who turns 41 today, has been with the Cavs since 20012. He became the team’s general manager in 2017 and was promoted to president of basketball operations in 2022.

The Cavs have been reached out to for comment and this story will be updated as more information becomes available.
