Providence lands 3-star reclassified big man Eli DeLaurier

Eli DeLaurier, a 6-foot-10, 220-pound center, committed to Providence on Tuesday and will reclassify to join the team for this season.
“I’m on campus now,” he said by text.
DeLaurier, who spent last season at the Miller School (VA), chose the Friars over Mississippi State, Loyola Chicago, Texas A&M and FAU.
“[Providence] has been really involved, my family loves the coaching staff and knew they are great people,” he said. “Being given the amazing opportunity is something I can not be more grateful for. I love the team and the campus, too.”
Asked what kind of player he’ll be for the Friars, he said, “I’ll stretch the floor when I’m able to.”
