Class of 2023 four-star guard Ty-Laur Johnson has decommitted from Memphis, his AAU coach confirmed Monday.

The 6-foot, 160-pound guard from Our Saviour (NY) Lutheran chose Memphis in November over Seton Hall and N.C. State. Andy Borman, who was the director of the NY Rens Nike EYBL program for whom Johnson played, is now an assistant at Memphis.

Ranked by On3Sports Composite as the No. 11 point guard and No. 67 overall prospect in the nation, Johnson was part of a class that included four-stars Mikey Williams, JJ Taylor and Ashton Hardaway and three-stars Carl Cherenfant and Ryan Forrest in the No. 7-ranked recruiting class by 247Sports.com.
