[Women's Basketball] Jackson named to KCAC WBB Preseason Team

WICHITA, Kan. – Following a historic freshman season, Friends University sophomore forward Taylor Jackson has been selected to the KCAC Women's Basketball Preseason Team, the league office announced today (Oct. 12).

Jackson received KCAC All-Freshman and third-team all-conference recognition last season after setting single-season modern-era records in rebounds (337) and blocks (96) while also swatting a single-game record nine blocks vs. Bethany College (11/20/21).

A native of Houston, Texas, Jackson saw action in all 31 games last season and started 17 times. She averaged a double-double of 12.2 points per game and 10.9 rebounds, both representing team-highs last year.

Highlighting her performances was producing career-high marks of 29 points and 23 rebounds in a victory over Saint Mary (1/8/22). Five nights later, Jackson matched her 23-rebound output to fuel a win at Avila.

Jackson and the Falcons will open the 2022-23 season at home on Oct. 31 vs. Barclay College for another edition of "The Quaker Classic" inside the Garvey Center.
