Wright St II Match

This is clearly not a must win match but
We need to come out strong. Stay focused and put this team away early. We need that for our psyche heading into A10 play. We lived on smoke and mirrors the first two weeks or so because no one had much video of the players we rolled out on the court. No way to study tendencies and habits. Thats no longer the case. Plenty of video to break down and prepare for and its showing up on the court. But mostly we have to raise our game so we can string together some point runs and less serving errors will help that as long as we can remain aggressive. The following comment is based on seeing very little game video this year so far, but when I have watched, we seem to be hitting into the net more than usual. Its one thing to go long because youre going for a deep aggressive serve. Into the net is mental more than anything, or should I say a lack of focus on your toss.
Ill also throw out the following speculation the last few years we have started the season with lots of errors. But we worked it out about this time each year. I do wonder if thats how the coaches plan it? Maybe their focus now is to be 2/3rds aggressive and 1/3rd focused on in. That would be a training thing. But eventually they flip that and put the biggest focus on in. Im spinning my wheels here for an answer. It is funny I looked at the stats last night and said, Who the heck serves up 15 errors in 4 sets? Thats terrible. Then I looked at Wichita St stats and see they did the same. I got a laugh out of it. But it had to be a terribly painful match to watch with 30 service errors.
We go to work again today. We need to find a way to play well for longer periods of time in each set.
