[Men's Volleyball] BENU Sweeps Past Park and Into National Title Match

Benedictine Mesa's dash through the postseason continued Friday when the Redhawks dispatched Park (Mo.) in straight sets to give them a spot in Saturday's Men's Volleyball National Championship title match.  BENU swept past the Pirates 25-18, 32-30, 25-23 in the first semifinal match in West Des Moines, Iowa.  Now 22-6, the Redhawks hold the best championship tournament record at 11-1, their only postseason loss coming to Grand View (Iowa) in last year's national championship match—an outcome they could redress tomorrow with a potential rematch with the Lakers.  GVU plays Campbellsville in today's second semifinal, with the winner advancing to play BENU tomorrow at 3:00 pm PT in the NAIA Championship match at the MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex.  The championship match be streamed on ESPN3.
