[Women's Basketball] Winning Week for Cal Pac Teams

It was an outstanding week for California Pacific Conference women's basketball.  Cal Pac teams played eight non-conference games and won seven—but actually lost two because one of the victories was Simpson's 83-47 non-conference win over Pacific Union on Sunday.  The only other loss was by UC Merced, which fell to UC Santa Cruz 64-54 on Friday.  However, in Monday's lopsided 90-26 win over Bethesda, UCM turned in its best defensive performance in program history and setting a record for fewest points allowed, posting its fourth win by at least 50 points, and all six Bobcat wins to date have been by at least 17 points.
