Despite the early lead that the Rocks had in the game, the Flyers were determined to fight back as both teams went back and forth on the scoreboard in the first quarter. Both teams battled in the first quarter with some nice ball movement, however, it was Bristol who had the lead after quarter one as they outscored the Rocks 24-20, with the Rocks shooting just 3/9 from three-point land in the first quarter.
Going into the second quarter, again it was the Glenn Luss Glasgow Rocks who opened the scoring in the quarter as Jordan Harris hit a three pointer, as the Rocks looked to improve on their three-point shooting in this quarter. The early signs of this happening looked promising at the start of the second quarter as Harris knocked down another three, however, it was the Flyers who still held a slender lead in the game.
Closing out the second quarter going into the interval, both teams struggled to get on the scoreboard in the first half of the second quarter, however, a three from Jonny Bunyan and some impressive play from Ali Fraser down low saw the Rocks get back to level pegging with the Flyers. At halftime, the Rocks lead the game going up 43-42 after two quarters, thanks to an impressive second quarter performance where they outscored the Flyers 23-18.

Looking to keep their lead in the game, going into the second half, it was Ali Fraser who continued to be dominant in the paint as he scored the Rocks first points in the third quarter. Both teams continued to go back and forth matching each other’s scoring in the first half of the third quarter, however again it was a low scoring encounter, especially from the Rocks who scored just nine points in the first 7 minutes of quarter, which saw the Flyers retake the lead.
Going into the fourth quarter, the Rocks battled back after the Flyers took a seven-point lead tying the game back up. Late free throws from Ali Fraser and Jordan Johnson, who was fouled on a three-point attempt right at the buzzer saw the Rocks regain their lead going up 64-63 after the third quarter.
Still all to play for in the final quarter as both teams battled back and forth the whole game, it was Ali Fraser who continued his dominant performance, scoring the Rocks first four points in the fourth quarter. Despite this, it was the Flyers who started off the final quarter in better fashion as they took a five-point lead in the first half of the fourth quarter.
The Rocks managed to push back in the contest, clawing back at Bristol’s seven-point lead late on in the game, it was Jonny Bunyan who hit a three with 6.2 left on the clock to tie the game up and send it into overtime with both teams tied 86 apiece after four quarters.
