[Men's Lacrosse] Madonna Hires Matta for Men's Lacrosse Position
LIVONIA, Mich. - (MU Release) - Madonna University announced the hiring of Carlos Matta as its new head men's lacrosse coach. Matta comes to Madonna after serving three years as the associate head coach at Lourdes and is the second-ever coach in program history. The DeWitt, Mich. native attended fellow Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) member Indiana Tech as a midfielder and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Criminal Justice in 2016.
After graduation, Matta served as the head boys coach at West Ranch High School in Santa Clarita, Calif. In 2018, he also served as an assistant coach for the school's girls' team as the defensive coordinator.
