[Baseball] Two Qualify for NAIA Baseball Opening Round
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - (NAIA Release | OR Brackets) - The NAIA has announced the 45-team field and pairings for the 2021 NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round and it includes Indiana Tech and UNOH. The field consists of 30 automatic qualifiers – given to conference regular-season champions, tournament champions or tournament runners-up – and 15 at-large teams. The nine opening round champions join Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) at the 64th annual Avista NAIA Baseball World Series in Lewiston, Idaho, May 28-June 4.
Conference champion Indiana Tech (31-25) is making its 10th appearance in the Opening Round (2009-10-11-12-13-16-17-18-19) and will play in the Marion Bracket hosted by Indiana Wesleyan.
It's the fourth Opening Round appearance (2015-17-18) for WHAC Tournament champion UNOH (29-17). The Racers are playing in the Kingsport Bracket hosted by Visit Kingsport and the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
