[Women's Basketball] Heits, Nall Pace Tigers in North Dakota

Doane Women's Basketball went on the road for their longest trip of the season, playing at Jamestown, N.D., on Sunday morning. The Tigers were unable to overcome an early deficit as they fell to the Jimmies, 82-65.

Jamestown matched a season-high with 12 3-point baskets in the game on 32-percent shooting from behind the arc while Doane made eight 3-point baskets, one shy of their season-high, and shot 35-percent behind the arc. The Jimmies shot 49-percent from the floor as Doane was held to 38-percent. The Tigers were able to keep the game close by attacking the basket, going to the free throw line for 27 attempts. Doane picked up 21 points at the free throw line, with Olivia Nall (FR/Tilden, Neb.) going 11-for-11, one shy of the school record for most makes without a miss in a game.

Haylee Heits (SR/Rulo, Neb.) led the Tigers with 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting and 6-of-8 at the free throw line. Nall finished with 16 points and Ragan Nickless (JR/Imperial, Neb.) posted 10 points. Ashley Teten (SO/Auburn, Neb.) pulled in a team-high six rebounds. Sydney Roth (SO/Deshler, Neb.) and Teten posted four assists apiece while Nall and Heits had three steals apiece.

Noelle Josephson posted a career-high 22 points to go with 10 rebounds to lead Jamestown. Kia Tower added 20 points while Audrey Rodakowski finished with 15 points and Macy Savela scored 14 points.

Doane returns home for the final time this season as they play host to College of Saint Mary on Wednesday, February 3, at 6 PM.
