Friday, Nov. 2020 — Warriors waive Ky Bowman
The Warriors announced that second-year point guard Ky Bowman was being waived. This felt like it was coming after the team drafted Nico Mannion in the 2020 NBA Draft. There isn’t room on the roster for two third-string, developmental point guards, so Bowman had to go.

Thursday, Nov. 19 — Warriors trade for Kelly Oubre Jr.
The Warriors added athletic wing Kelly Oubre Jr. in a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Oubre is set to make $14.4 million in the final year of his deal, but the tax penalty will be in excess of $60 million (though that will come down after the league’s income is determined). The Warriors used the Traded Player Exception to absorb Oubre’s contract.
Golden State is sending OKC their 2021 first-round pick, protected for slots 1-20. If it lands 1-20, the Warriors will instead send two second-round picks to the Thunder.
