[Women's Basketball] Threshers Weather Eagles' Late Push, Takes 64-60 Victory
NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - Despite some late-game heroics from the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles, the Bethel Threshers were able to take a 64-60 victory last night. This pushed Bethel's win-streak over the Eagles to six-consecutive games. Bethel was led by a strong start from Abby Schmidt, and the entire team did their parts in pushing the game to as much as a 23-point difference. Oklahoma Wesleyan proved to have enough in the tank to take over in the fourth quarter, and kept Bethel from scoring a single point in the final period until just over a minute remaining. Bethel held on by being able to sink multiple last-minute free-throws to keep their lead intact.
