Duke Recruiting: A Big Man To Keep An Eye On

A big strong big man is on the way in 2022

Here’s a name to keep an eye on: yet another Canadian, 6-10 Enoch Boakye.

He’s a solid 240, still quite young (Class of 2022) and is a bit of a throwback as he enjoys banging inside: “I like contact. I would say a mixture of Joel Embiid and Shaquille O’Neal. That’s the type of player I would say I am. Old school, I like the contact. I don’t shy away from it.”

A long list of schools are interested including Duke, Arizona, Houston, Kentucky, Gonzaga and most recently Wake Forest. Danny Manning apparently offered before he was dumped and Steve Forbes also has an interest.

2022 is still a ways away of course and it’s no surprise that he has a long list of suitors.

Boakye is from Mississauga, Ontario, hometown of RJ Barrett. We’d assume they have played pick up at some point or if not, they eventually will.
