[Women's Basketball] Third quarter surge helps LWC beat Tigers

A pair of Hailey Ison free throws started a fast and furious rally by Georgetown College women's basketball team in the Mid-South Conference quarterfinals Friday. The Tigers (14-16) trailed Lindsey Wilson College (26-5) by 14 with just more than four minutes left in the half.

Ison connected for two of her team-high 17 points, starting a 17-4 run to the break which was capped by Olivia Bowling's three with three seconds left. Georgetown trailed one at the break, but the No. 13 Blue Raiders came out strong to get back to a double-digit lead in the first four minutes of the second half.

Georgetown never recovered from the second push by LWC in a 96-70 loss.
