[Women's Soccer] Marian soccer player signs with CSM
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary Soccer Coach Jordan Irsik is looking forward to having Kylie Anderson play for the Flames.
The 5-7 forward signed recently to continue her education and soccer career with CSM. The daughter of William and Wendy Anderson is currently a senior at Marian High School in Omaha.
"Kylie is a goal scorer who has played at a high level for both club and high school," Irsik said. "She has been instrumental to the success of both programs and I'm excited to see her continue that for us.
"All of her coaches say is that she is the hardest worker on and off the field. She scores goals not only because of her awareness, but because of her willingness to finish the play and do the extra things. She will be a great addition to our program going forward."
Anderson has played soccer all four years at Marian and has helped the team qualify for the state championship every year. Her greatest sports moment to date is "scoring the winning goal at district finals with less than five seconds left."
She plans to pursue nursing at College of Saint Mary.
"I chose CSM because after practicing with the team, I knew that's where I wanted to go," Anderson said. "The bond of the team was really cool."
