To nitpick or to celebrate? That is the question

0 20
Some have posted, after games like today, that we have to get things fixed quickly because if we play like that, we’re going to lose early in the tournament.
At this point, Aaron Rodgers would tell us all to R-E-L-A-X, because this happens to every team.
Last year, Virginia won the national championship despite having days where they barely beat 19-loss Notre Dame at home, or, gasp, only beat Dayton by 7. Texas Tech made the title game despite losing at home to 21-loss West Virginia and escaping by 4 against 20-loss Oklahoma State. Auburn made the Final Four after losing to .500 South Carolina and needing overtime to beat UAB.
Do I wish UD looked amazing every single game? Sure. But the Flyers have established by now that their best is good enough to compete with the best teams in the country.
There’s simply no way to know whether, on March 19-29, they’ll rise to the occasion and soar to the Final Four, or lose way earlier than we hope. We’ll all be screaming for the former.
In the meantime, I’d like to point out that the Flyers are 23-2. … Twenty-dam-three-and-two.
If you really want to stew and worry about our “problems,” by all means do so.
I’ll be over here with a frosty beverage thinking about the next game we’re going to win.
