Times Union high school girls' basketball rankings

Rankings and records reflect games through Tuesday's schedule.

Class AA

1. Shenendehowa (8-0, Last week No. 1): Meghan Huerter tallied 14 points, leading four players in double figures, and the Lady Plainsmen allowed only five field goals in posting a 90-21 victory against Burnt Hills.

2. Saratoga (8-0, LW No. 2): Dolly Cairns pumped in 30 points and Natasha Chudy added 17 points in propelling the Blue Streaks to a 66-29 win over Shaker.

3. Colonie (8-2, LW No. 3): Mikayla Blake led the way with 17 points as the Garnet Raiders defeated Schenectady 67-47 for the team's eighth straight win.

4. Niskayuna (7-1, LW No. 4): Junior center Olivia Olsen delivered a game-high 33 points, helping the Silver Warriors secure an 87-34 decision over Ballston Spa.

5. Shaker (5-3, LW No. 5): The Blue Bison look to snap a two-game skid Friday when they play host to Ballston Spa.

Teams to watch: Albany (5-6), Bethlehem (2-6)

Class A

1. Averill Park (10-1, LW No. 1): Kelsey Wood netted 20 points and Amelia Wood added 18 points as the Warriors, once again the top-ranked team in the state, defeated Albany 63-57.

2. Queensbury (8-0, LW No. 2): Hope Sullivan tallied 18 points, Abby Doin delivered 14 points, Meghan O'Connor contributed 10 points and Hailey Ballard added nine points to help power the Spartans past Amsterdam 54-48.

3. Amsterdam (7-2, LW No. 3): The Rams, ranked No. 14 in the state, return to Foothills Council play Thursday when they entertain Scotia.

4. Holy Names (7-2, LW No. 4): Grace Field generated 16 points and Cassandra Paul chipped in with 14 points in a 57-30 win vs. Voorheesville.
