[Women's Basketball] Lovato's late three helps lift Wave to first CCAC win of the season

WHITING, Ind. – With 52 seconds left in the game, Alyssa Lovato (SR/LaJunta, Colo.) hit a three-point shot to give the Calumet College of St. Joseph women's basketball team the lift it needed to put away the visiting Lakers of Roosevelt University (Ill.) and pick up their first victory in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) of the season. In what had been a back-and-forth contest, the late three gave the Wave a lead that the Lakers were unable to come back from. In the final minute of play, Shakeana Clark (JR/Apopka, Fla.), Elizabeth Davis (JR/Houston, Texas) and Lovato would all be fouled by the Lakers in a last ditch effort, but all three would connect to lift the Wave to a 61-54 win.
