[Men's Basketball] Conley Earns Spot on KCAC Men's Basketball Preseason Team
WICHITA, Kan. – Friends University senior guard James Conley has been named to the 2019-20 KCAC Men's Basketball preseason team, the league announced today (Oct. 25).
Conley, an all-conference second-team performer last year, finished second on the team in both points (14.2 ppg) and assists (3.7 apg) in his first season with the Falcons.
The Derby, Kan. native also made an impact defensively with a team-high 1.5 steals per game.
A transfer from Oral Roberts University, Conley also posted solid shooting percentages across the board, hitting 45.2 percent overall (157-of-347) from the field and 37.4 percent (52-of-139) from three-point distance.
His most productive game came in scoring a career-high 27 points to power the Falcons to their 12th straight win, an 85-81 victory over Ottawa University (Jan. 16).
Conley and the Falcons, under 17th year head coach Dale Faber, are set to tip off the new season tonight at 7 pm at Hastings College (Neb.).
The Falcons will then turn around and face Concordia University tomorrow afternoon (Oct. 26) at 2 pm, also in Hastings, Neb.
