The New York Post has a piece up on Daniel Jones as he goes through the inevitable adjustment to the NFL.

For Jones, who started with a bang in his first two games, consistency is the thing:

“I think it’s been, looking back on the month, I’ve been kind of up and down,’’ Jones told the Post. . “I’ve been inconsistent overall, I’ve been good and bad. I think there’s certainly a lot of things to learn, when you look at the scheme or some of the decisions or some of my habits, or bad habits.

“There’s lots of things to learn, so I’ll kind of separate those problems, those individual issues and try to improve. But also just getting more comfortable, getting more accustomed to what we’re doing. I think I’ll continue to learn and grow, but I’ve certainly had the opportunity to learn a lot this month.’’

To say the least. As the Post says, it’s been quite a ride. What the Giants are learning is that Jones is a very steady personality. He’s soaking stuff up and will put it all together on a regular basis. New York is in a rebuilding mode and when the team is in the hunt again, Jones will be an outstanding quarterback.

Probably sooner.
