lebron and a.d. for kawhi
1) i don't know if the cba would allow a.d. to be traded in the following fashion.. let's say for example..
a.d. for j.isaac and mozgov from orlando
if so, it seems the lakers would make around 4.5 mil in cap space with this trade..
actually, maybe around 8.5 mil, because a.d.'s trade kicker would be gone (correct me if i'm wrong)
they'd also get size at the center position, and experience... while getting a promising young player in j.isaac
so that is one issue..
2) secondly.. if that is allowable, then the lakers can explore trading lebron..
let's say.. lebron for beal and howard.. this move would create another 4.5 mil maybe in cap space.. totaling 13 now..
3) then lastly.. to get a legit power forward, the lakers could trade kuzma for d.sabonis, the lakers lose 1 mil here..
so.. with all these moves.. i might be wrong, but, the lakers might net 12 mil.. allowing them to get a starting 5 of:
pg - beal
sg - kawhi (free agent signing of course)
sf - j.isaac
pf - d.sabonis
c - d.howard
in my opinion, this might be a good deal to explore, because even if they strike out on kawhi in free agency..
they still get beal, j.isaac, and d.sabonis for the future, while still having max salary space this off-season..
but, realistically, i think kawhi would sign.. so.. overall.. i think this benefits the lakers..
as opposed to their plans now of basically just having lebron and a.d. - and surrounding them with filler,
because i don't think they'll be able to get another max guy it seems even..
thanks, thoughts welcome
