I posted this on Facebook but I signed up here on your blog so I could be sure to speak to as Many Raptor fans as possible
This wasn’t initially intended for this forum or for you Toronto fans. In fact it was mostly my attempt to sort out the swirl of emotions your victory caused for me. However it is important that you hear from a life long warrior fan, not lifelong since 2015 mind you, 42 years I have been a warrior fan and most were an unmitigated dumpster fire of incompetence and a few shining moments of Joy. Many of the fans we have will undoubtedly slink away to find a new team to cheer, and that is just fine with me. They will also say things to you and your team that will bother some of you, just so you know, it’ll bother me too. Congratulations to a great team and great fans, losing always sucks but some losses are easier on your soul than others. No shame in losing to your team. No asterisk should denigrate your accomplishment as no asterisk should mar our 2015 title. Injuries are a part of the game, whether they work for you or against you. Regardless of the players we lost, the players from Toronto still had to hit their shots and make the plays to claim the crown. Anyway here follows what I posted for my fellow Warrior faithful, and know that the feedback has been entirely in agreement in regards to giving the respect that is due to you and yours.

Wow.... can you say rollercoaster of emotions Dubs Fans?
First, let me give sincere respect and congratulations to the Toronto Raptors, they are worthy Champions and deserve respect for rising to the challenge and winning the Title. I say sincere, because I found myself distastefully moaning the woulda shoulda coulda’s right after that game ended. Mostly about Klay and how we would have won that game going away if he isn’t hurt.... but I cut that shit off at the knees and so should you DubNation. Injuries are a part of the game and we have been fortunate with them up until now. Remember how disrespectful the Cleveland fans sounded when they refused to give any credit or respect to our boys in 15? Let’s not make that same mistake. Rather than insist that they didn’t deserve to win let’s just tip our caps and say keep the trophy warm for us because we will see you next year for it’s return. Van Fleet? I am a believer. That team is a worthy adversary to pass the crown to.
So that rollercoaster of emotions I spoke of, funny thing is it ended with this incredible chest swelling feeling of love and respect and so much damn pride in our Team. Yes Toronto won the title, but make no mistake, WE ABSOLUTELY MADE THEM EARN THAT FUCKING CHIP!!! I mean Durant goes down..... then After fighting through that devastation we get it to game 6 and that means it’s #GAME6Klay time. He drops 30, then he drops too.... can you say gut punched? But there was Iguodala stealing the freaking hot tub time machine and dropping 20 points. Looney, what can you say about that young man except he is absolutely an all time warrior forever with his display of heart and courage and will. He wanted to win more that that excruciating pain he was in could deter.
Lastly I will say this to everybody out there throwing dirt on the dynasty. Fools, you are all fools because we aren’t going anywhere, except to reload and run it back. Durant stays, great.... if he goes he goes with my love and gratitude for all he added to our wonderful journey. But we are more than Durant..... our core was drafted into legend. Klay ain’t going anywhere and neither is Draymond. Small forward isn’t a hard fill for a team like ours. He won’t be Durant but honestly we don’t need him to be. We can kill the competition without that nuclear bomb that Durant was. Hey regular bombs will do the job just fine, and sink the difference in salaries into a true Bench with depth and shooting and defense to call upon. Remember Doubters San Antonio never ever won back to back titles and their Dynasty lasted 15 damn years. Thank you To the Warriors for making even defeat something we can be proud of, certainly proud of how we handled ourselves in defeat. See you in like 3 months!!!!
