The Lakers has reached "atrocious" status

0 16

We have reached the darkest of the darkest days for this legendary franchise

Times are not good if you are a Lakers fan. The incompetence, the half-truths, the atrocity that is unfolding before our own eyes is completely different than what he had imagined when Magic Johnson took control of the Lakers. You would have thought things has gotten better for the Lakers when LeBron James came into the picture. Then Magic bails, seemingly without even telling anyone, no one knows who is running the Lakers at the moment and lord and behold it is said that Linda Rambis is running the basketball side for the Lakers. What?!?! Linda Rambis who has no real experience in this kind of thing - the wife of former Laker legend Kurt Rambis and bestfriend with owner Jeanie Buss - THAT is who you are letting calling the shots??

The anger doesn't just end there. The Lakers basically had their next head coach all wrapped up and gifted to them in Tyronn Lue. Everything was looking on the bright side, then heads up. Linda Rambis and Kurt Rambis wants to pick your staff Ty, oh and you are only offered a 3-year deal while coaches like David Fizdale and Steve Clifford got 5-year deals. Things are just a total disaster for the storied franchise in LA.

Oh things get worst. Remember that other team in LA who Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka foolishly traded Ivica Zubac to for Mike Muscala? They have cap space too - and oh yeah they are dead in the mix to require Kawhi Leonard this summer and POSSIBLY could get Kevin Durant or Klay Thompson too. Now I understand the Lakers have LeBron James who is without a doubt a top 5 player of all time, but LeBron is entering age 35, not much mileage left within him. The Lakers do have some nice young pieces like Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball - but their best young player in Brandon Ingram has health issues now with those blood clots. Now if you were to leverage the Pelicans to trading Anthony Davis to the team for those young players, bets could possibly be off due to the fact that the best young piece's career may be uncertain.

Things didn't exactly look brighter for the Lakers when Julius Randle had a career year with the Pelicans, Brook Lopez helped turn the Bucks around with his shooting and D'Angelo Russell literally became an All-Star and carried the Nets to the playoffs. Free Agency is approaching fast and so is the NBA Draft and the Lakers currently look like the last team any free agent would want to go to.
