[Men's Bowling] The two Techs tie for men's bowling title
For the first time in the sport's history, two teams tied for the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Men's Bowling championship. Indiana Tech and Lawrence Tech both scored 92 points in the four jamborees as each team won two jamborees and finished runner-up in two jamborees to finish as co-champions.
It's Indiana Tech's second consecutive championship and the third title for Lawrence Tech (2015, 2017). Based on the league's tiebreaker procedure, Indiana Tech receives the first automatic berth to the NAIA National Men's Bowling Invitational March28-30 in Topeka, Kan.
The conference tournament, hosted by Indiana Tech, is set for March 2 at the JAX 60 in Jackson, Mich. and will consist of 12 Baker games bowled by each team (all teams qualify). The top four teams will then proceed to head to head match play consisting of 4 Baker games. The final two teams will then bowl an additional 4 Baker games with the WHAC Tournament Champion declared by the most total pins knocked down in the final match.
