Draymond Green trolls Rudy Gobert, who hilariously fires back

NBA beef!

There’s no drama like NBA player drama, and this week’s edition features Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors in one corner, and Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz in the other corner.

The two players, who have combined to win the last two Defensive Player of the Year trophies, went at each other with a little bit of trolling the last few days.

It started on Thursday, when the All-Star Game reserves were announced, and Gobert was left off. The 7-foot-1 center was on most media members’ mock ballots, and was openly hoping for the recognition of his first ever selection (as well as the $1 million contract incentive for making the team). But that never came, as the coaches opted for players such as LaMarcus Aldridge, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Klay Thompson instead.

Gobert didn’t hide his disappointment, as he teared up when talking to the media.

This caught the eye of Green - a three-time All-Star who also won’t be headed to the February 17 contest. Always vocal, Green took to social media to jab Gobert for being so upset at the snub.

But if Gobert was emotional initially, he was witty the second time around. When asked about Green’s teasing, Gobert was ready and waiting with a pretty stellar response.

Gobert talking about Snapchat is, of course, a reference to when Green accidentally posted an explicit photo of himself on his Snapchat story.

Well, played, Rudy.

For what it’s worth, the Warriors next play the Jazz in 10 days, at Oracle Arena.
